I was inspired by all the earthy pastel yarns that hit craft stores this fall season and thought, hey I can whip up some mini pumpkins and fall leaves to zhoosh up my Lily Bloom doggie-inspired backpack!
This mini macaron is such a simple beginner crochet pattern that lets you practice core basics of amigurumi.
Skills: make magic circles, crochet perfectly round circles, change yarn color, weave multiple pieces together
Estimated time: 10 minutes.
Round 1: 6 sc in magic circle, (6 st total)
Round 2: 2 sc in each st, (12 st total)
Round 3: (sc, 2 sc in same st) 6x, (18 st total)
Round 4: sc all the way around, (18 st total)

Repeat this to make the other half of the macaron. Assemble by weaving the two halves together and stuffing with poly-fil as you go.
These little candy pillows are easy, simple and don’t require much time to make. My triangles got better with each corn. I experimented with different ways to stitch up the bottoms which determined how flat or conical the candy corns were. I made so many I strung several together to make keychains, hat pins, brooches, ornaments, and magnets. I added eyes to some to make them kawaii and left others plain for a classic vintage look. I just loved them so much, they will be a yearly Halloween staple!

Meet Doug. He’s a super dog who’s parents run an amazing all natural pet food company in Australia. Doug goes to work everyday to keep the office in check but more so to take naps and get belly rubs.
He is so loved the office wanted to commemorate his birthday with a hand-painted custom watercolor pet portrait.
Pet portraits are an excellent gift idea for a pet mom, pet dad, or any animal lover!
